MARCH Foundation salutes The Greenhill School’s Student Diversity Initiative

Dallas, TX – The Greenhill school is a private school that has an enrollment of approximately 1200 students from kindergarten to the 12th grade in Addison, Texas. Students attending Greenhill attend a school that has a college campus like feel and that provides one of the best educations in the state. The school has a diverse population but only 8 percent are African American, thus one of the objectives of the administration is the increase the percent of African American students at this prestigious institution.
Members of the MARCH Foundation board recently visited the campus and were impressed with both the students, teachers and administrators that they met. Students took board members on a tour of the campus and reviewed everything from the quality of the education that they were receiving to the school’s long history.
The highlight of the evening was MARCH board members participating in a panel discussion in the school’s auditorium with students and parents in attendance. Board members shared their history and what it takes to be successful in today’s high tech and ever changing world. Students asked a myriad of questions that were answered by MARCH board members. After the panel discussion was over students, teachers and parents expressed their appreciation for the visit and felt that they learned some valuable lessons from the shared stories and answers to the student’s questions.
Ken Jarvis presented the Greenhill school a check in the amount of $5000 from the MARCH Foundation to assist in their student diversity initiative.
