Ron Spencer Inducted Into Hall of Fame

Congratulations to MARCH board member Ron Spencer who was recently inducted into the McDowell County, West Virginia Hall of Fame. Ron was a star athlete in both football and basketball at Northfork High School. He was an All-State end on the football team senior year and was named to the All State Basketball team both as a junior and senior. Ron led his high school to a 61-9 record while averaging 23.7 points and 12.2 rebounds. In 1971 as captain of the team they won the Class AA state championship. In his acceptance speech Ron credited loving parents for his success. Ron commented, “Today I will be accepting this honor on behalf of my parents, for without them I would not be the man that I have become.”
